Sessions are paid when you book, which is what holds your slot. You can reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours beforehand for a full refund. Inside 48 hours the fee is kept, since that time was set aside for you. If something unavoidable comes up, write to us and we'll do our best to find you another time.

The Amorette Retreat

Two days in Italy where I style you and photograph you, so you go home with pictures of yourself you'll want to use for a long time.

A lot of women tell me they hate being photographed, and almost every time it turns out nobody ever took the time to style them or show them how to stand.

I've spent my whole career behind the camera, and the women who relax in front of it are usually the ones who came prepared, with the right clothes on and someone in the room who already knows which side of their face they like.

The plan is a small group in a house with beautiful light. I'll have a rack of pieces pulled for you, someone doing hair and makeup, and two days to shoot photos and video and record your voice, so you leave with what you need to show up online looking and sounding like you.

Day one, morning

Coffee first, then we sit down and talk about what you want people to understand about you and your work.

Day one, afternoon

After hair and makeup we start shooting stills and video, styled from a rack I've pulled for you.

Day two, morning

We record an interview that you can use for voice-overs, reels and your about page.

Day two, afternoon

We go through the edit together, so you leave knowing what to post and in what order.

Photographs

A full retouched gallery, including the in-between frames, which are often the ones people stop scrolling for.

Video

Long-form interview plus a set of vertical cuts, captioned and ready to post.

Audio

Clean audio from your interview, ready for a podcast, voice-overs or reels.

Styled from Amorette and your own closet, and you keep the Amorette pieces we shoot.

Timing matters. Prima is a group of one hundred women who see each piece a full day before it goes public and can buy it during that day, and I'm keeping it at a hundred.

The twenty-four hours

Every piece is yours to buy a full day before it goes public, and since every piece is the only one, that day can decide who gets it.

The rack

I film the pieces I bring back and talk you through them while they're still on the rail, before anything is photographed or priced.

€99annual membership

You pay once for the year and hold one of a hundred places. Your code arrives by email and unlocks early access on whichever device you use it on. Members also take fifteen per cent off styling sessions and consignment commission, and once the hundred places are taken, a new one only opens when someone lets hers go.

I'm a dog mom, and dogs have my whole heart. I want every one of them to have the care they need, whatever their family is going through.

A little love affair

A note from Heather

I've photographed fashion and portraits for most of my career, and styling the shoots is the part I love.

I started out in New York with no budget and a lot of ideas, so I thrifted and borrowed and shopped my own closet, and somewhere along the way I got hooked on finding clothes with a point of view.

Amorette is where those finds go now, whether I came across them at a market here in Italy, picked them up in Paris or Greece, or styled them for a shoot and couldn't bring myself to keep them. It's a little love affair, and you'll know it when you see it.

I go for good fabric, mostly denim, cotton, silk, wool, cashmere and linen, and my palette runs neutral until summer, when I let myself go into colour and pattern. Some of it has been worn and loved before and some has never been worn at all, and I love that these clothes get to go on living somewhere new.

I want buying this way to feel easy, because every piece is the only one and you'll know pretty quickly whether it's a yes for you.

Where it comes from

Every piece is found by hand, one at a time, at markets, from small sellers and in closets across Italy and Europe. Nothing is bought in bulk. So the rail is a real mix: true vintage, recent pieces from labels you'd recognise, deadstock that never sold, and finds with no label at all. Each listing says honestly what the piece is and what condition it's in.

Markets and thrift

Most of what you see comes from rails I went through by hand, whether that's a Tuesday market or a little shop with no sign on the door.

Small makers

Sometimes I meet an artisan who has never got round to building a shop of her own, like a woman who makes twelve of something a year and has no way for you to find her, so I photograph her work properly and bring it here.

From the shoots

Some pieces come from shoots I styled, or were gifted to photographers and stylists I know and then sat in a cupboard after being worn once for the camera, if that, and I'd much rather see them out in the world.

Made by hand

These are one-offs and mended things, and I love a visible repair because it tells you somebody cared enough to keep the piece going.

Every piece here already exists, so nothing had to be cut or dyed or shipped new to fill a rail. I'd always rather buy older and keep things longer.
