Where Amorette comes in
Rescuing beautiful things and sending them on to closets where they'll be worn and loved.

So where does Amorette come in? For me it ties the whole story together. I still get the thrill of finding something special, the same rush I used to chase in Manhattan boutiques, except now I'm finding it for you, and I'm pulling it out of thrift shops and markets instead of off a new rack. Some of these pieces I'd keep in a heartbeat if I let myself.
It's also my sneaky way of curbing my own habit, since I'm no longer shopping for me. I'm rescuing beautiful things before they end up in a landfill and sending them to closets where they'll be worn and loved, which is exactly what my niece did with my old clothes, and what those bags at our door did for me.

I'll be honest, I'm always reworking my own style, and I think I've finally landed somewhere I feel good about. If you're still looking for yours, please don't let that keep you from playing, because it's something anyone can figure out with a little trial and error, and there are always professionals you can bring in to help.
Styling other people is where I feel most at home, whether it's a client before a shoot or a woman I've never met who's about to open a package from Rome, and I want every piece I send to make someone feel alive, beautiful, confident, or just plain comfortable, because sometimes comfortable is the whole point.
There's so much more I want to share, from how to wear a man's necktie (a stranger in Piazza di Spagna left me speechless with one this summer) to the one pair of trousers I'd save in a fire, so stay close. Until then, ciao from Rome, where the cashmere is out and the linen can wait for spring.
xx Heather
